The Martin Marauder Mk I Book Description :

The Spitfire XVI is one of the Spitfire mark to have been so far little covered in depth. It was actually a Mk. IX engined with an American built Packard engine but otherwise it was very familar to a IX. Used in the fighter-bomber role, from the UK with the Fighter Command or from the Continent with the 2 TAF, one of the main task given to the XVI would be the destruction of the V-2 sites located in Holland. This book gives the details of the operations carried out by the British squadrons, Nos. 66, 74, 127, 229, 602 and 603. This study doesn't continue beyond the summer 1945. Thirty photos and 5 colour profiles.

Martin B 26 Marauder Book Description :

One of the most underrated medium bombers of the Second World War, the Martin B-26 Marauder never fully managed to shake off an underserved early reputation as a dangerous aircraft to fly. Deemed superior to all other designs on the table at the time, almost a 1,000 had been ordered before the aircraft first took to the air November 1940. From late 1941 the first B-26s became operational in the Pacific, followed by the Mediterranean, but it is in the European theatre that the type was most prolific. It was particularly during the Normandy Landings and later the advance beyond 'the bulge' into Germany, were the B-26s medium level tactical ability shone through. The Marauder also served with the RAF, SAAF and Free French Air Force in the Mediterranean and also as part of the little credited Balkan Air Force in support of Tito's Partisans in Yugoslavia. Sadly the B-26 was unfairly treated at the beginning of its career and even more so at the end as many of the 5,200+ aircraft built were scrapped only days after the end of the war. A great aircraft in many respects the B-26 deserves to be in a better place.

The King s Marauder Book Description :

The year 1807 starts out badly for Captain Alan Lewrie, Royal Navy. In The King's Marauder, his frigate HMS Reliant has a new captain, he's living at his father's estate at Anglesgreen, among spiteful neighbors and family, and he's recovering from a wound suffered in the South Atlantic. At last, there's a bright spot. When fit, Admiralty awards him a new commission; not a frigate but a clumsy, slow two-decker Fourth Rate 50. Are his frigate days over for good? Lewrie's ordered to Gibraltar, but Foreign Office Secret Branch's spies and manipulators have use for him, again! HMS Sapphire is the wrong ship for the task, raising chaos and mayhem along the Spanish coasts, and servicing agents and informers. And, what he's ordered to do needs soldiers, landing craft, and a transport ship, all of which he doesn't have, and must find a way to finagle it all. He could beg off and say that it's asking too much, but . . . Alan Lewrie is not a man to admit failure and defeat, and his quest might prove the most daunting of his long naval career. For fans of historical fiction, Dewey Lambdin's Alan Lewrie series ranks alongside such greats as Patrick O'Brian and C.S. Forester for its terrific period detail and irresistible hero.

Marauders Book Description :

Marauders. A Novel. As the human race expanded into the heavens it became immediately clear we were alone in our Galaxy. The Galaxy had not always been empty of intelligent life however. The ruins of numerous civilizations dotted the expanse of the Milky Way. Some of these ruins were millions of years old but why and where the owners went was a mystery the human race had never been able to solve. Some believed that there was or had been a mysterious race of plunderers and destroyers which solely targeted intelligent civilizations but no hard evidence had ever been unearthed. The mysterious race of annihilators had been dubbed the Civilization Destroyers. The Chino-Federation war was over but tensions between the two remained high. Both the Federation and the Chinese Empire possessed massive Navies yet when the machine invaders arrived at the outskirts of the Chinese holdings the Chinese were swept before them with almost no resistance. Characters of note; Kimmy and Spencer Brummell. Bill and Yates. Joey, Misty and Matthew of the Black Cat Squadron of Federation fighters. Charlie and Ryan. Professional Space Racers. Together with the rest of humanity they must repel the invaders or the human race would add its ruins to those of its extinct predecessors. Thank you and enjoy. Ronald Wintrick
