The environment in which the decision-making process takes place is often characterized by uncertainty and vagueness and, because of that, sometimes it is very hard to express the criteria weights with crisp numbers. Therefore, the application of the Grey System Theory, i.e., grey numbers, in this case, is very convenient when it comes to determination of the criteria weights with partially known information. Besides, the criteria weights have a significant role in the multiple criteria decision-making process. Many ordinary multiple criteria decision-making methods are adapted for using grey numbers, and this is the case in this article as well. A new grey extension of the certain multiple criteria decision-making methods for the determination of the criteria weights is proposed. Therefore, the article aims to propose a new extension of the Step-wiseWeight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) and PIvot Pairwise Relative Criteria Importance Assessment (PIPRECIA) methods adapted for group decision-making.

As technology advances, we have to look beyond the finite thinking of a task, will it be a human or a machine’s responsibility. We need to look at how we can use Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) to enhance the task so that it can be performed better, faster, at a lower cost and a higher quality without destroying the human contribution in the process. This is where ‘New Grey’ thinking comes into play; it’s when things are not black or white, and they are grey. The New Grey is a hybrid thinking on how to utilize the best features of A.I., while partnering it with the best aspects of human intellect. There are already millions (and there will be eventually billions) of devices like smartphones, smart speakers, Internet of Things, and other gadgets creating larger amounts of data at an exponential rate. Existing and next-generation Big Data technologies will struggle to capture, store, query, analyze, search, and visualize all this information. A.I. can be a game-changer for businesses trying to process all this data or for whole new product categories. Although, It's not a magical buzzword that can be added to any product and will automatically improve it. Although, A.I. can make a product or service smarter when implemented correctly. A.I. can also give organizations the ability to find trends in data that a human might not be able to see. Although, in the end, we must never forget that it is the humans that are the consumers or benefactors of this information. The whole purpose of this book is to explore the roles that humans and machines will play together over the coming years and decades. Machines will be evolved by their creators to do more advanced operations in the near future. The question is will we be ready for what it holds for us. In the final chapter of this book, it shows how to set up a quick demo using one of the most advanced Machine Learning algorithm (i.e. GPT-2) that is publicly available to utilize or even use as a starting point for your o

Plastics & Sustainability clearly lays out the thorny and contentious issues that we encounter at the nexus of plastics and sustainability. The book serves as a practical guide for making sustainability decisions about how plastics are made and used, including current developments in the newest bio-based plastics. Designers, marketers, academics, and engineers will all find something of value in this balanced and thoughtful second edition. Increased public scrutiny of plastics materials and the plastics industry has led, paradoxically, to both a deeper understanding and growing confusion about polymers, their origins, their uses, their risks, and ultimately their disposal. The author makes objective comparisons among major polymer grades and bioplastics including their life cycle assessments and practical performance in commercial applications.

Anna, a German mill-owner’s daughter, marries a French aristocrat and moves to France. She discovers that her husband killed his previous wife and that he is trying to kill her as well. Quick, intriguing, and with an extremely interesting plot, ‘The Grey Woman’ (1861) is a short story by Elizabeth Gaskell for anyone who enjoys a good gothic shudder. Incredibly progressive for its time, it is about the survival of the ill-treated woman who has decided that enough is enough. Elizabeth Cleghorn Gaskell (1810-1865) was an English novelist, short story writer, and biographer, best known for her novels ‘North and South’ and ‘Wives and Daughters’ as well as her biography of Charlotte Brontë. Gaskell was viewed as a minor author until the 1950s where it became evident that her depiction of industrial environments and social problems was brilliant and poignant.

A story about the trials and triumphs of a Black chef from Queens, New York, and a White media entrepreneur from Staten Island who built a relationship and a restaurant in the Deep South, hoping to bridge biases and get people talking about race, gender, class, and culture. NAMED ONE OF THE BEST COOKBOOKS OF THE YEAR BY GARDEN & GUN • “Black, White, and The Grey blew me away.”—David Chang In this dual memoir, Mashama Bailey and John O. Morisano take turns telling how they went from tentative business partners to dear friends while turning a dilapidated formerly segregated Greyhound bus station into The Grey, now one of the most celebrated restaurants in the country. Recounting the trying process of building their restaurant business, they examine their most painful and joyous times, revealing how they came to understand their differences, recognize their biases, and continuously challenge themselves and each other to be better. Through it all, Bailey and Morisano display the uncommon vulnerability, humor, and humanity that anchor their relationship, showing how two citizens commit to playing their own small part in advancing equality against a backdrop of racism.
